I know I saw a thread with a better than beef taco thing that looked really good. I don't have the time to make it right now though. That said, what else do you all do with it? It has that great taco flavor so I was thinking about maybe a lettuce leaf taco. I am open to any crazy ideas you may have. I have 4 cups of it all for myself so I figure I will make a few different things. Taco soup maybe???

Thanks! :D

How long do you reccomend I dehydrate for? Also, how exactly do I rehydrate with the tomato? Do I just mix it together with a fresh tomato that has been blended?

Thanks :)

I made a better than beef sandwich for lunch today and it was perfect. So easy and quick.

Large tomato sliced in 1/4" slices (the tomato was not very seedy, which made it easy to pick up)
avocado (mashed)
Better than beef (warmed in the dehydrator)

Place a slice of tomato on a plate and top with mashed avocado and better than beef. Place another tomato slice on top. Press down gently. Pick up and eat over plate. You may need to eat with a fork if you have a seedy, messy tomato.

You could add other items such as raw nacho cheese but it was good as is. Little roma tomato finger sandwiches would be good too.

I like the tortilla/taco soup idea. How would you do it? Try it and give details!!:D

I have never been good at soups...usually end up tossing my own creations. I may try though.

As for the recipe, I got it from Alissa's book so I probably shouldn't post it.

It is a recipe in Alissa's book using carrot pulp left over from juicing and spices. It has a taco flavor to me. It is good, really does taste "meaty".

Thanks. As I have been reading these pages of recipes, I have decided to buy Alissas book next week when I get my money. After that comes the dehydrator.:)
