Hi everyone -
I am doing some experimentation and wanted to check in on theories
that are out there. Let me preface this by saying I am not asking for feedback about whether nuts and dried fruit can or should be combined. Instead, I am comparing these two scenarios:
1) Soaking nuts to remove enzyme inhibitors, then allowing nuts to
dry for 8 hours in refrigerator. Then, combining with soaked dried
fruits.
2)Soaking nuts to remove enzyme inhibitors, then allowing nuts to dry
for 8 hours in refrigerator. Then, combining with unsoaked dried
fruits.
I have always soaked the dried fruits when eating with nuts, believing
it would make them more digestible. I am now wondering if it makes
it more of a juicy fruit, diluting the HCL and other enzymes
necessary to break down the nuts.
So, basically, the question is, which do you think would be more easily digested?
Any thoughts?
