would steel cut organic oats be okay?

I bought Bob's steel cut organic oats from a local health food store. Are these considered okay for a raw diet? They are quite hard straight out of the bag so i have some soaking in water to soften and to make muesli later or maybe coconut oat energy bars. :confused:

They are not raw, but if you do eat them the raw police won't come after you!! They are certainly a better, more healthful option than sugary processed cereals!
