Does anybody knows more about the healing of multiple sclerosis with rawfood?
My dad has MS and sits in a wheelchair,it's been 11 years now.At the moent,he's 3 months raw!Yeah, great isn't it!He just went "cold turkey" one day and wanted to give it a try.
Blood results were VERY good after one month:no new ms-infections(you can see that in the blood),perfect cholesterol(otherwise it's always way too high due to medicines+I stopped giving him his med for it!).Butnow he's feeling very bad and I think he looses courage. He thinks:"I don't heal anyway, why shouldn't I eat everything I want than!"You understand......I know he will get improvements, but it's hard to wait and wait and just feeling worser for him.....
Anyone any suggestions aboutwhat he should eat?
I prepare a lot of things with nuts and seeds, since he doesn't eat a lot of veggies and he canot afford to loose weight, otherwise he gets wounds from sitting/lying on the same place always.(well,I don't exactly know the word in English,so I hope you understand).
I just want him to stay raw!!So ,anyone with an experience on this one??

O.k., part of the problem is, he's in a wheelchair. He needs to move! What's happening is, the lymph ~ which is the garbage system of the body, needs to have movement to work. So! IF you can get him into a series of colonics (3 "should" get him going) AND some lymphatic drainage sessions, he'll see more improvement faster.
I don't work with disease ~ I work with people. It's pretty much the same thing with any dis-ease. Move the lymph! IF someone cannot walk/run, do yoga, etc., then, it has to be done another way. The body really doesn't know the difference if someone else is doing it, or the person himself.
Also, if you can get some balls, maybe 12 inches or less in diameter, have him squeeze these between his knees and between his hands and forearms.
Good for you that you at least got him going!!!
Injoy ~

Your dad is quite sick and it's going to take a long time, but he will get better. I hope he doesn't get discouraged after just 3 months. Here are some stories of people who overcame MS with a raw diet:

I don't have any information about raw healing MS but I believe it's possible.
Regarding Revvell's post about moving and lymph drainage - you might want to consider a rebounder for your father. Based on 2 books I have, The Miracles of Rebounding Exercise" and "Fit for Life II", someone confined to a wheelchair can benefit from sitting on a rebounder while someone else gently bounces on it.
The rebounder helps with lymph drainage and helps exercise each cell in the body due to gravity and acceleration and decelaration against gravity as one jumps.
Just a thought.
I sincerely hope that your father is able to keep raw. I think he is amazing for going cold turkey. I would put forward, though, that fruits are extremely important for cleansing his body and vegetables are needed to rebuild healthier cells.

Hi Megan,
I recently heard a talk on the rebounder and the speaker also said the same thing about having someone (even an infant) sit/lay on the rebounder and then have someone straddle the person and gently bounce. It does get the lymphatic system moving as it can't move on it's own.

Already a lot of thanks for your good advice! But,I was wondering if it would be good to us ethe chi-machine instead of a trampoline. That's much easier to use in his case.He also wants to do a raw ms-cure I found on th internet. It's on www.healthy-living.org,there you have to click MS.What de you think of this one?Is it good?

Hi Rawelkie,
I would think that anything that would get his lympatic system moving would be good. Try the Chi-machine. Like you said it probably would be easier for him.
I looked at the cleansing program you posted (if you could go back to the end of your link and put a space in, others would be able to just click on it - I copied and pasted it). Although eating all raw would probalby work, I personally don't feel anything is wrong with speeding up the process with herbs and supplements. If you can afford it and your dad is willing to do it, it may produce quicker results and give him the desire to keep going down the road of all raw.
Please keep us posted on how he is doing.

I read the McDougall Interview with Dr. Roy Swank, MD before and it seems that fat is a major issue with this disease so I think even raw nuts, avocado and olive oil may need to be eliminated or significantly limited focusing the diet on vegetables (especially green ones) and fruits.
