Hello all,
I have a few questions

1. How important is it for you to have the right juicer, to start off would it be as effective as using the right juicer or any normal juicer would suffice for now ?

2. What are the fundamental veggies on has to eat?

3. How do you make your own sprouts :( ( i know its a silly questions but i still have to ask :( )

4. Beans and sprouted beans leads to gas problems,:o do we have a better soluton for that ?

5. Are ground beans considered raw too ?

Cheers

[B][FONT="Comic Sans MS"][COLOR="DarkGreen"]Hello all,
I have a few questions

1. How important is it for you to have the right juicer, to start off would it be as effective as using the right juicer or any normal juicer would suffice for now ?

There's no need for a juicer at all so if you feel to juice, use what you have.

2. What are the fundamental veggies on has to eat?

Whatever's in season and available to you

3. How do you make your own sprouts :( ( i know its a silly questions but i still have to ask :( )

There's a whole section here just on sprouting. Might want to check there. Plus, there's a section in Alissa's book on sprouting I do believe.

4. Beans and sprouted beans leads to gas problems,:o do we have a better soluton for that ?

Yeah. Don't bother with them at all.

5. Are ground beans considered raw too ?

Well, if they're raw in the first place, I can't see how grinding them is going to change that but why go through all that in the first place? Why not just eliminate them from your food program? They're totally unnecessary.

Suggestion: if you've not gotten Alissa's book and dvd's, I highly suggest you do so. If you've got a level 1 or 2 teacher near you, you may wish to take class as I'm sure this is all confusing to you and any or all of what I've suggested will clear up a lot of questions for you.

1. I think a food proccessor and a blender are more important than a juicer. I have a champion juicer and have never had anything else so I can't compare it to anything, it worked great for me.

2. The most important veggies: well, go into the produce section with an open mind and see what calls out to you, try new things and have fun!

3. I don't make sprouts but here is how to do it:

Well the thing is i have a juicer, then I had come across the aritcles on what is right and wrong which is confusing, I am not planning to spend another 500 dollors on a juicer :(

I have ordered the book, it just takes a while before it gets to me

Thank you so much for all ur replies

i totally understand how you feel about getting the "right" stuff. i have a juiceman jr. it would be nice to get every ounce of juice out of my fruits but i can't afford to upgrade. plus i know how to clean my juicer in a flash. i also have a magic bullet (my aka vitamix). it is the greatest thing in the world for me. i make nut milk for one and pretty much everything else for one. i even ground my nuts and cacoa nibs sp with it. it even grinds sesame seeds to a powder if you want to make homemade tahini. i bought a mini food processor black and decker for the recipe stuff but other than that, i just use my magic bullet. i also have a dehydrator, i only used it for drying some herbs and flax/onion bread. i haven't had the time to make other stuff with it (dehydrator time is like 6-12 hours) soooooooooooooooooo slow.
i bought an easy sprouter and it worked a whole lot better than the glass jar with the sieve or using my own bowl.
i also bought a sampler of seeds online.
sprouting is also time consuming because you have to remember to rinse your sprouts daily
i only sprouted a couple of things so i am no authority
everything tastes sprout-like in my early opinion
a very green earthy taste
nothing i could eat a cup of
the moderator did say that overtime your raw taste buds change so maybe in a couple of weeks, i may fall in love with sprouts
