I just can't do the leaves in the blender yet, but i am making a smoothie each day with Alissa's powder and LOVE it. I've been using RAW oj as my base and adding, flax seed oil, amino acid, maca, and frozed fruit. I'm thinking of changing the base to water do to the sugar content of OJ. what does anyone think?:o

If your body is telling you that there is too much sugar in the OJ, by all means switch it out. Some leaves don't have that much flavor - like spinach.

I would use water, but then add more fruit, like a banana.

Yes, I agree with the above responses. You could also try a nut mylk base as your liquid. Makes it really creamier.

Also, it depends what type of greens you are using. Spinach is mild. Kale is strong.

Experiment. Cool beans that you are using Alissa's green food powder. That is good stuff. I've even just put a teaspoon of that in a glass of nut mylk before.

Yeah - spinach is so mild. I love adding 1/2 of a lemon. Yum I use Alissa's powder when I travel - makes it easy.

also you could make a green smoothie more of a salad or a savory veggie soup instead of fruity. i find it goes down smoother and is easier for my taste buds to accept and enjoy in this form. i dont really enjoy the taste of a super strong fruit green smoothie. i just make them for when im on the go and need something quick and complete. and i love how i feel when i drink them.
