I first have toi admit to not having read Alissa's book ... :o
My question seems a bit simple but here goes.
Does Raw mean uncooked or does it mean unprocessed AND uncooked? If it means uncooked, and dehydrated foods are ok ... does that mean that cold smoked meats are ok? Does smoking count as processing? Is dried meat such as Biltong ok?
I think I can get my head around the vegetable aspect ... just wondering about the meat aspect.
I realise there are different schools of thought within the raw foods arena and I am happy to be told the party line from this school but would also like to know -- if forum rules allow -- whether other schools have a different view ... I'm not asking for links to such schools however.

sorry if that's all a bit rambly but I don't want to upset anyone ... just asking a question :)
