I have been monitoring my food intake and I eat mostly fruits. The only time that I have greens is in the morning in my smoothie. The rest of the day is fruit. Lately, I have noticed that I have been having sharp chest pains when I go for long periods without eating. (There are times throughout the day where I am not able to eat because of school, I'm not trying to starve myself) But the weirdest thing is that, there have been times that I have eaten cooked food and my chest pains went away.

For example: Today I had a green drink(powered greens and water) for breakfast, 1/2grapefruit and some grapes for lunch. And my chest was hurting all day long. At 5:30 I had dinner (cooked food) and my chest is not hurting anymore. ?

Has anyone ever experienced the same thing? Could my chest pains be from detoxing? Does anyone have any suggestions?

When I started my raw journey, I had just recently recovered from a bout of pneumonia, so yes, I did experience some chest pain during detox. Thankfully, it was short lived. Hang in there, it does get better ~ Cathy

The grapefruit could have been too much acid for you. Do you ever feel a burning sensation in your throat? If it continues, you may want to be checked for acid reflux. Also, test to see if you are reacting to the acid in the acidic fruit like grapefruit. Good Luck.

Yep, that could do it too. ~ Cathy
