I think the bottled thing is a good rule of thumb, but it doesn't apply to everything. I've heard all sorts of problems with stuff like Bragg's but not with coconut oil or tahini.

thanks...it is sure hard to guess....nothing in this dept is labeled.....except for the RAW brands

There are brands out there that are labeled raw. Living Tree Community, Mara Natha, Better than Roasted and Artisana just to name a few. Some of those brands offer both roasted and raw versions of the same foods. For me, if it doesn't specifically say raw, it isnt raw. :)

Yep... I'm with barose... If it don't say RAW.... then I don't buy it! ;)
