I dont understand!

So, I just ground some sesame seeds and hemp seeds and they both smelled fishy.

I bought the hemp seeds in a sealed bag in the refrigerator at a health foods store and the sesame seeds were unhulled from bulk section.

Is this what they are supposed to smell like, because every time I get these seeds, or flax, i grind them and they smell fishy!

I don't know about the hemp, because I haven't tried it, but I think flax has a fishy taste. In the past, I bought some Barlean's Flax seed oil, because I was told it was the best. And they send out fresh oil (and dated). I always thought it had a fishy odor and taste, and it got to where I couldn't stand to take it!! And threw out the very expensive bottle of oil.:mad:

I bought the oil before I went raw, and don't know if it is a raw product or not.
