I have been making extra green smoothie for next a.m. and storing overnight in fridge.

But the one I had this a.m. tasted like vomit!

The only thing I did different was put a bunch of traditional parsley in it.

Is parsley known to have this effect on a green smoothie?

I personally don't care for parsley in smoothies.

I find the taste to be too overpowering.

I just used the rest of my morning smoothie as a base for a green gazpacho. It was green apples, spinach, Parsley, dandelion greeens, and water to start with, I think the apple cuts the flavor of the sharp greens. Later it became heavenly cold soup. I added chunks of avo, celery, cukes, onion, minced garlic and jalapeno. I wouldn't blame the parsley for a yechy smoothie, and I wouldn't save it for the next day, either.
There's nothing better than that clean fresh taste and feeling, not to mention the diuretic effects of Parsley. I was missing my parsley in my smoothie, so my daughter broughbt home two of the biggest, most beautiful bouquets of parsley, 2 days before I got my organic produce box, which I knew would contain at least 4 bunches. So needless to say I have been eating it in everything. I learned to love it at least 25 years ago, my dd doest too. To my surprise 4 days later I had lost 4 lbs. I say figure out how, but learn to love it, the vitamin content is nothing to say yech about. I am not doing the raw diet for weight loss, my 2 auto-immune disorders are my reason; but the 4 lbs was a bonus, I could lose about 10 lbs.
Hey luckitri, I remember some other thread that you made reference to some of your own health issues, but I don't remember where or what. Hope this idea encourages you.

I LOVE parsley in my smoothies! To me, it's especially good when some pineapple (and sometimes a little lemon juice) is added. I don't use a whole bunch, though, just a couple of sprigs or so. But everyone's tastes are different so...
