Over the past two days, I have had horrible bloating and I have no idea whats causing it. It starts between meals (on the hungrier side) when my stomach is empty and it feels like a balloon is being inflated in my belly. When I drink water, I get MORE gas then I start burping like crazy. When I eat, some of the gas is released but I'm still miserable. This happens several times a day now and I cannot attribute it to any food because my diet has not changed except I haven't had any nuts. What could be causing this? My stomach hurts so bad right now and all I had was plain salad.
ETA: I do follow proper food combining, don't eat oils (except a supplemental flax seed oil) and have tried waiting longer between meals (ummm like 3 hours) only to feel worse. Its a combo of crazy hunger and horrible gas/bloating.

Have you tested lately? uh..I feel like that in early pregnancy and I think you said that af was late in another thread?
The only other thing I can think of is good old detox. ;)

Actually, I havent even thought about it. :o After being infertile for so many years (for a young person), even after having been pregnant; being pregnant or thinking its possible rarely crosses my mind.

Okay, now I'm going to be obsessed until I know. ;) Test! test! ;p
I do understand though, I can't even count the number of negative tests I've seen in the past years. I've mostly given them up. It's hard. But there is alway hope you've gotten a raw miracle. :) So, are you going to at least rule it out, or just keep waiting it out?

I have my doubts, given I've only been 100% since April. I think it would take much longer for my body to heal. I dont think 5 months is enough time.

5 months is a LONG time to be 100% raw! You need to give yourself more credit..that is a huge accomplishment. :

barose... I have no answers for you -- but I just wanted to pass along some healing energy -- hope you're feeling better soon.
I've noticed some gassey'ness in my body too and haven't figured it out yet... STRANGE THING IS... the only thing I've really changed is...I've cut waaay back on nuts for a while. Hmmmmm....? I dunno??? I noticed you did the same thing but that's jus so illogical that not eating nuts would cause gas an bloating.
I thought perhaps is was some kind of detox? I dunno I'm just trying to ride it out.
blessings girl...
I dunno - maybe I need to moove and exercise more? http://i149.photobucket.com/albums/s43/FireStar_830/1304.gif

I have had the exact same thing happening to me on and off for months.
I wish I knew exactly what the cause is. Possibly detox? Maybe a parasite?
Stress can also majorly cause bloating.
Also low hydrochloric acid. When I starting taking an HCl pill after meals the painful gas went away. (The gas would occur at random times not after mills, but the pill handled all of it) Also green smoothies and green juice help create more HCl.

Thank you for your suggestions. :)
I started drinking kombucha (again) and water with a little apple cider vinegar a few times a day between meals and the bloating and gas is gone! I am so thrilled. Just wanted to say whats been working so far. :)

The problem is, I get VERY bloated (gassy) with green smoothies. Just greens and fruit.

Carla you might try a low carb green smoothie like I make for my diabetic husband. I put a handful of greens in with a tblspoon of flax seed, a tsp of celtic salt, a whole peeled lemon, a whole large tomatoe, a tsp Klamath green powder, 5 ice cubes and 3 cups water. It tastes like tomato juice. Using the fruit may be feeding candida. Might be worth a try.

Thanks for the tip and suggestion. Lately I've been using green apples now that berries are out of season :(. Ill try to do a straight veggie/savory one.

I get it from most health food stores in the area. Sometimes it has a seperate section; sometimes its with the other drinks, but its always refergerated. Eventually I want to start making it, but I havent gone there yet.
