How can one tell if Nori is raw? Are all nori sheets raw? Thanks!

Check your local health food store or even an asian market. Look on the packaging and make sure it says untoasted. :)

i have been checking- found two health stores in my town (yay!) but they only have Organic nori which says "pre-toasted" or something like that. so that doesn't count i guess :( i'm still searching :D

Some places will order it in if you let them know you want the item. Customer service is still out there sometimes. I often ask and have gotten positive responses. Helps the next shopper, too.

They taste mildly like the sea... like seaweed ... a wee bit fishy to me.
