View Full Version : I made Alissa's buckwheat cereal...

I didnt sprout it, I just soaked it overnight and made the cereal. Would it have been better to wait for the sprouts? Is the taste different with the buckwheat sprouted, healthier? I thought it was pretty good, a good way to add fiber to the diet. I love the green smoothies and all but they mess with my digestion. Was that a wasted meal without the buckwheat being sprouted?
any help would be great:)

Sprouting groats is ideal but not absolutely manditory. Soaking at least activates a lot of the enzimes and gives you some of the great benefit. I play around with just how sprouted my groats are, sometimes I do longer than others.
Just consider yourself lucky, you've discovered a yummy raw snack that most people aren't even aware of :)
