<< if raw is better, how come the government doesn't encourage it?>>

MONEY! The government is so ridden with political lobbyists that decisions are made to benefit economics, not the population. It's a real fight for nutritionists to get the government to officially recommend what's in the best interests of its citizens when it means that the citizens might buy less milk. The meat and dairy industries have a lot of power in the government!

<<i knoe are sensitive to raw foods, is there a reason?>>

Yes! The reason is, their systems have gotten so accustomed to junk that it loses its ability to properly process healthy food. Some people eat, and a lot of what they eat just goes through them. Their bodies don't assimilate a lot of it. Eating what's best makes your body more efficient. But it can take a while for the body to get used to raw foods and work like it's supposed to. It can take time. So those people who are sensitive would just need time to adjust.

This is why you see "got milk" campaigns all over the place, and "where's the beef" and "pork, the other white meat".... because the government has these industries in its pocket. Raw foods are truly the best and most nutritious and don't cause all the diseases that the aforementioned big-money products do. Maybe if they were a bigger industry we'd see huge advertising campaigns with celebrities endorsing collard greens and carrots :) but sadly that is not the case.

Not that I want the government messing around in my veggies and fruits anyway :)....

When I saw it on the News they stated at the end that the food producers helped with the designing the new food pyramid...

Now, is it me or wouldn't it be bias if the companies that sell these products be the wrong kind of help to design it!!! Duh!!

Ummm, methinks you mean the meat/dairy industry has the gov't in THEIR pockets? And deep pockets they are! ;)

Really? So then, the food pyramid has less to do with what's healthy to eat, and more to do with what the government wants you to buy. That's really twisted.
