I posted a thread recently about how much better I'm biking this season, my first one RAW. Yesterday we road a very forbidding hill, among others, while putting in some long training miles before the MS150 this coming weekend. I made it up that sucker on my bike for the first time ever. I'm not opposed to walking when I have to, but I was very pleased to stay on my bike this time!
Then doing some yoga yesterday morning, I managed a handstand for the first time --with my legs against the wall for balance, but definitely on my hands. Then, I also did a wheel for the first time since I was about 10 or so...that's lying on your back, then pushing up into a backbend with your hands and feet. Mercy!! 'Takes lots of strength! It's all about RAW, I swear!!
I'll let you know how I do on the MS150. We rode it for 4 years. Then they changed the course to something BRUTALLY hilly and I had to be sagged in on Sunday. It was just too hard. So, I figured I was just too old (64 then), but I'm feeling so strong this season, thanks to RAW, that I'm going to try it again. Unless it's really hot, hot, I think I'll do fine. Stay tuned. Thanks, y'all, for being there! :D
