I have no problem all week eating all raw. Then the weekend comes around and I eat cooked food. But the kicker is, I feel sick with headaches, burning eyes, and heartburn! Why do I continue to do this to myself? I know eating raw makes me feel better but yet I seem to sabotage myself. Does anyone else do this? When does it get eaiser to say no to crappy food and yes to my health!!! Today is the first day of the rest of my life!!! I want to choose to life. Any suggestions for weekends?

Hey there! I'm taking it you live with or in a household where cooked food is consumed? Or if you live alone - get rid of your other SAD/CRAP foods.
Two words: Green Smoothies
These guys will really kick cravings and fill you up. Have then on the weekend. Be strong. Depending on how long you've been raw - this is pretty typical. Also, read, read, read (all about raw of course) and keep yourself busy instead of indulging. You CAN do this.
ACK!
Im so happy you posted this. :) I have the exact same problem! I dont know what it is...I think somewhere in my mind I think that the weekend means that the weeks over....sooo the raw food week is over as well. UGHHH. I also love going out with my hubby on the weekends, which usually includes going out to dinner. There are no raw restaurants in my city, and although I am a vegetarian, I dont always want to get a salad when Im out...and even if I do, the salads offered are usually horrible.
Drives me ccccrazy! I feel like kicking myself at times. :p
I truly know the benefits of raw...and enjoy eating that way. I just go through these moments of lazy weakness....and then s.a.d. food looks sooooo good. (I wont even begin to tell you what I ate this Labor Day weekend....If there was a confession box for eating s.a.d. foods, I would be there alllllllll day. "Forgive me Father....but I couldnt resist eating allllll that mint chocolate chip ice cream!" :D
I look forward to hearing some of your guys thoughts of the weekend issue.
Any helpful ideas would be wonderful!
Much respect,

Now that you have the problem narrowed down to weekends you just need to identify the trigger or triggers in your weekend. Try keeping a sheet of paper and a pencil near you and handy so that you can take some notes when you get the urge or craving. The idea is to identify the trigger or triggers. Write down things like what your doing when the urge or craving occurs and how your feeling and what your thinking of. Write down anything that could be pertinent and then try to see if the scenario repeats itself. Once you have the trigger of triggers identified you should be able to disarm them.

the weekend is so hard because my husband wants to eat out and there is no raw food places in my area. The weekends we are always some place with friends or family. So I feel like odd man out!!! I know I shouldn't...Why do socials things center around food? Holidays, birthdays...Anything pretty much centers around food? Why?

This is my exact situation!
All I want is to be strong 100% Raw and feeling awesome like i used to
but this time around I am just having such a hard time stopping my consumption of less-than-alive food
I don't even want to look at a salad, so i'm putting them all in my smoothies
i Got Viktoria's (spelling) book on 12 Steps to Raw Foods
Just stay strong!! We'll get there. It's all part of the journey :)
