I have been reviewing photos of some of you who have experienced great weigh loss success....

I need to lose 65 lbs. I have seen that some people experience loose skin after losing so much weight.

Have any of you experienced that. Is there something we can do to minimize the loose skin experience....or does eating raw take care of it?

I think you need to weight train while eating a raw diet if you want to look healthy. Also I think that in time your skin will catch up with the weight loss. I am trying to build some muscle so I will look more toned under my skin.

Thanks for the advice. I agree that weight training is a great way to look healthy and in shape. In the past, I always have trained and tried to stay fit...but I have never weighed this much before, so I am concerned that it won't be enough, when the weight starts to come off...

All of the encouragement and success stories would be great to hear about now....

I would recommend a few things. First - green smoothies. Second - water. Third - dry skin brushing. Fourth - eat 100% raw.
Also, check out the blogging section - lots of success stories there... up top in the green bar section.

you definitely have to exercise. i think a lot of raw people just eat really healthy and don't exercise as much as they should or don't weight train and thats why they are a little flabbier than they would like. if you dont build muscle, you will lose muscle when losing weight so you will stay soft or get softer. with muscle and tone, if you dont use it, you lose it.

I lost over 100 pounds (after having three kids very close together) and have no loose skin. I do workout quite a bit. It doesn't really matter how much you lose if you are detoxifying along the way (which raw does naturally) and staying active the skin does catch up. I honestly have a flat stomach-no pooch and I have been 100 pounds heavier!

I have a lot of loose skin.
I was a big girl. I really don't know how to help you because I don't know what to do for my self either. :(

for me, the more exercise i do the more my skin tightens up. i read somewhere that the loose skin is fat that is still left over. so keep exercising, burning the fat and building muscle underneath.

Using a rebounder is supposed to be very good for loose skin.
Any exercise that causes you to change direction suddenly is meant to be good.
