I'm finishing my MS thesis in Exercise Physiology - grad school has not been good to my eating/exercising habits. Prior to going back to school (undergrad & grad) I was a body-builder so I ate & exercised like a saint for years. Even though I'm not quite done with school, I was running out of money, so I got a full-time job (genomic research) - which I really like but I still have school to contend with. It's like having 2 full-time jobs and I don't want to pay for another semester's tuition!
I am 43, single, (no time right now for a boyfriend, I barely have time for myself), with two cats and a dog (I am long-term dog-sitting for friends that are going to Europe for a little over a year.
I'm looking forward to trying new foods and new prep techniques - so far things have been really tasty. My vice: coffee - I love the smell, flavor, etc.
I have migraines - intensity of attacks is directly proportional to on-going stress - I'll be interested to see if/how dietary changes affect me, as well as finishing school :) I forsee nothing but good things.
I'm currently 190-195 and would like to get down to 150 (I'm 5'9"), but I'm just going to focus on eating as raw as I can - it's a huge improvement in eating habits, my body should respond as long as I stay consistent.
So that's me - here's to life, Kathleen :D
