What is a good source for used juicers, blenders, etc. ?
I could really use something like the vitamix blender in a few weeks, and I have friends and relatives who would like some masticating juicers. Of course, high prices have a way of deflecting interest. :(
So, anybody know a good source, besides ebay? Preferably one wwhich offers warranties?
Thanks for your replies. :)

Also try contacting the various companies. I believe that they sometimes get refurbished ones and sell them, you know, like appliances (stoves, etc.)? Worth a try...

Thanks for the replies, guys. I guess i'll just go with a normal blender. Don't really plan on doing green smoothies, so it should suffice. :o

Ebay sometimes auctions blenders and juicers refurbished with warrantees intact.
Why no green smoothies?

I guess i'll just go with a normal blender. Don't really plan on doing green smoothies, so it should suffice.I decided to put VFL's comments about green smoothies to the test and even move beyond them and I started doing green smoothies with my regular cheapo Walmart blender and it does them OK (a little goopy). I also started putting greens into my cold soups and that works good also. Iam starting to put greens into everything I can. Greens For Life !
I sold a couple of juicers at a local juice bar where the owner had used juicers on display behind the bar. He sold them on consignment so if you have a juice bar near you you could call them or stop in and have a fresh juice and look around.

YES!
I found the business section of www.craigslist.org (not .com!) to be a HOTSPOT:eek: ! Last week I found 5 Vita Mix blenders amongst many other useful tools for sale. When foodie businesses go out of business they need to sell off their kitchen supplies; plus you can haggle a bit too! As they would be from businesses they should also have the warrenty details!
Also garage/yard/car boot sales especially the big community sales. My neighborhood has aprox 3000 homes and hosts a bi yearly event!
Cheers,
EPPP
