;) Can anyone suggest the best foods to rehydrate after a workout?

About to make a watermelon and cantaloupe smoothie because I have them, but wondering if there is anything that helps keep metab going, too?

I use an adapted recipe from Ani Phyo's "green power" smoothie......
If I recall, I put 1/2 banana, 1 tbs. spirulina, 1 tbs maca, 1 tbs hemp protein powder, and 1 cup water......it's not the most glorious tasting (you could always use agave to sweeten), but with the protein it contains, it really helps in recovery from exercise.

Young Coconut water, most hydrating thing ever, fab after a long run :D

If you want to spice it up.. blend it with orange or apple juice

Thanks, for the recipe. I got it just after I blended some yellow watermelon and juiced the rind. So, instead of the banana, I used the watermelon, watemelon juice and added the spirulina, hemp protein, maca and whirled...Pretty Pretty green....Pured it over ice...mmmmmm

Made a lot, though...sort of got carried away...32 oz....

It tastes really good...I guess it is the fresh taste of the watermelon

Any other suggestions?

Thanks DancerUK...I have a difficult time finding young coconuts...Just asked the local hfs to order some for me...so I will keep that in mind...
