Hey all - I've been 100% raw since the end of June. I have begun to lose large quantities of hair. Any ideas of things I can do to stop this? I've always had super thick hair, but not anymore. Are there supplements? Any ideas would be appreciated.
TIA

Thanks - I used to take MSM & especially appreciated the positive effects on my joints. I may do that again.
Thanks again,
Some people say it's detox, some people a lack of protein.
Could be both.
I noticed that when I started eating high raw over a year ago, I lost lots of hair. I never lost that much hair in my life and it has always been in a good state (thick, shiney etc)... I was eating lots of fruit then. I mean lóts. Then I went to 50/50 raw (not for that reason) the hair loss stopped. However, now I'm high raw/100% raw again, and I don't experience hair loss. This time I eat a lot less fruit and way more greens, plus sprouts and spirulina... I do experience some other detox symptoms, but not hair loss. I also feel way better with more greens.
So greens and sprouts could help (if you don't get enough of them).

Thanks - I eat greens daily, but I'll up the greens & I have spirulina so I'll add it into things too. I've thought about adding hemp protein powder that's supposed to be raw to get more protein into my green smoothies.
Thanks for the info.

Also... B vitamins (Bcomplex) and Biotin... biotin is really good for hair strength and growth - but it needs B complex to work at its optimum efficiency! it's workin for me!! :D ... plus b complex keeps you calm!

O yeah, thanx for adding that. I didn't mention that I also take Bio Strath at the moment, it's a yeast supplement. Yeast contains the whole B complex etc. and that may help, but I'm not sure. I took it because of high amounts of stress which seem to be slurping B vitamins (and I also read it may help with grey hairs too, grey hairs due to lack of certain nutrients caused by stress), but it seems to be good for hair, skin and nails in general too.

I drink an herbal tea mix of (but not all inclusive to, as I switch every now and then) Nettles and Horsetail, chamomile. Just put some dried herbs into a mason jar and let sit over night with water to the brim. It's wonderful for the hair and nails.
Also, I found drinking alot of green smoothies helps with the addition of sulfur rich arugula. It is bitter, but does wonders for the hair.
