Hi, I am starting my 30 day challenge tommorrow.Wish me luck! But how can I take juice with me? Is it easier to take fruit instead? There is no way I can have a blender or juicer at work, I work in a hospital, wont happen. Thanks! Pat.

Two words: green smoothies

I take my 34-36 ounces of GS and also fruit.
Where there's a will, there's a way. Do they have a fridge? You could take veggies and dip. Or fruit, or juice, or green smoothie, or fudge balls or onion bread, sprouts, tomatoes (for a sandwich). The possibilities are endless.
Have fun with this 30-days. Don't make it more difficult because you are setting yourself up for failure that way. Keep it simple. Eat, eat, eat.

You can always use a little blender or juicer in your car.....with an $10 inverter....if you were so inclined. Of course, a bag full of fruit and salad is a wonderful treat to keep in the desk!

I take a cut up bell pepper, cucumbers, avocado, shredded cabbage, etc. and will either eat the items individually or make a salad or sorts.

Fruit is also a good choice and will sometimes cut up fruit like cantaloupe or whole apples. Bananas and almond butter works well for me and is very satisfying.

There is a Tribest blender which looks fairly compact and is about $70 which would be good for making fresh smoothies. Otherwise I just make 32oz for breakfast and then split another 32oz for lunch and sometimes dinner.

I think the contents of the GS determine whether or not they are good later. Citrus fruits (to me) do not keep well and if I make something with citrus I drink it immediately. Apples as well.

Just make sure they stay cold! :)

I actually take a salad to work, kale leaves in big chunks... sometimes just cut up veggies with goddess dressing that I use as a dip -- or hummus or even spicy taco mix (walnuts) can be used as a dip for veggies .... healthy and crisp.. refreshing ... delicious and filling too! :D

I bring a lot of salads to work, fruit, lara bars, homemade raw trail mix, cut up veggies, raw grawnola, etc.

Can you juice or make smoothies in the morning before you leave for work? That is what I do and then take it with me?

Also raw desserts such as a slice of blueberry pie is another great thing to bring to eat anytime (breakfast, a snack, or at lunch or a dessert to a salad).

You just have find what works for you. The main thing is be prepared and plan ahead.

I just take fruit. I have a little lunch sack bag, where I can fit one water bottle, a napkin, and a small tupperware with cut up fruit. That's it. Plus its quick to pack in the morning- wash the apple, cut it into pieces with my lil' nifty handy dandy apple cutter/corer thingy-mahjig, throw it in the tupperware, then BAM I'm out the door.
P.S. Good luck on your 30 day challenge burgespj! I'll be there as well! :)

I take a quart of green smoothie, lots of fruit, and a trail mix. I used to take salads too but prefer to make them at home in the evening and this way getting ready to go in the morning (or night before) is really quick and easy. I babysit my Grandson full time so it is also easy to go to the grocery store if I want something more and he enjoys the adventure of picking out yummy fresh foods!
