hi guys
i find in my last few attempts at juice fasting that celery is ssssssssoooooo dominant in the juice. it's salty and it really takes over the taste. cucumber is strong as well. is there a way to overhome the dominant taste of the celery? i really want to juice feast which calls for ALOT of celery but the taste is sooooooooooo strong...

help please.

Oh haha, I was going to recommend cucumber. My usual green juice is: celery, cucumber, spinach, parsley, and apple. My friend told me she really tasted the celery, but for some reason I only taste the apple....

I find adding grapes to my celery juice counters the taste of the celery nicely.

I used to do a lot of carrot/beet/celery/kale. In the right proportions it's very good. No celery taste. Ginger root is good in there too.

Gosh, I occasionally do juice heavy on the celery and don't pick up a salt flavor. I suspect I don't have sharp tastebuds like some do.

I juice a lot of celery, but if I put apple with it, it tastes fine. Not really over salty or anything. :) I put apple w/ all my green juices, I just like the flavor.

I really like to juice up a whole pineapple with a couple of sticks of celery, cucumber and spinach leaves... That was you don't really get the *blerky* taste of all three just the sweetness of the pineapple. :D

I recently started creating smoothies with only a banana, celery and water. I've had this for about 3 weeks now and it's not too strong and tastes nice and creamy. I don't notice the celery smell if I use the outer stalks and celery is fresh.

I really like the taste of celery juice so I like to make a big mug of just celery juice and nothing else. Its a great juice all by itself.

i find the type of apple you use makes a huge difference. some barely add a flavour and others make the juice so yummy you can barely wait for your next juice!

so perhaps try changing your apple and it'll take away your celery taste?

i've read you should never juice any fruits, except apple with veges. i'll start a thread to get everyone's opinions on this.

i made the thread: http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?p=343593#post343593

I normally get a lot of green juices. Makes sense for me when I am at work, as I hardly have time to eat.

I always have celery with my juices, including parsley, mint and ginger at the same time.

One combo I really liked, was kiwi, melon, apple, lemon, orange and pineapple then added to it the celery, mint and ginger.

In the right proportions you don't taste the celery

Or another is apple, orange, lemon and celery.

This one is one of my favorites.

Now I'm going to have to go buy one.

LOL.

Is it me or am I the only one who has the mind set of just 'taking shots' of the jucies I don't like for health reasons/stave off hunger a bit... then just savor the ones you love. :)

Anything wrong with that by the way?
