Does anyone know if the probiotics you buy in the shops count as raw? They're freeze dried so would that still count?
I know its better to get bacteria from fermented veg/coconut kefir/seed yogurts etc but if you were making a home made baby formula the only way to get bifidobacterium infantis which is found in breast milk, is to buy it in freeze dried capsules.
Is it possible to use shop-bought probiotics as a starter culture, to grow your own??

I don't know about the actual probiotics being raw, but be careful about the capsules themselves. Most are made out of gelatin.

Good luck! :)
