I am on my lunch "break" and one of my students is in here with me (a 1st grader..) and he asked me, after seeing me eat an apple, "Don't you eat any food?" So, I pointed to the orange I was peeling and told him that it is a food. He told me "Naaa, that's a vegetable." Now he won't stop asking me for more of my orange. He has eaten about half already. This is a strange culture where food isn't "food."

haa haa ,yes !!!! I get you ,I usually have to say to some nosey ignorant people in my life" oh I ate some tofu and bread with my salad' to get that worried look off there face .........kids are SO cute though ,tell him " your right, its not food ,its natures candy!!!!" heee heee!
