View Full Version : Cervical Dysplasia and RAW?

Last year, I was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia. The only risk factor I had was excessive estrogen; other than than, I dont know what the cause was. Though doctors told me there is nothing that could be done (besides hopes that it goes away), I read that wheatgrass juice and folic acid kills the abnormal pre-cancerous cells. Last year, I took 4 oz of wheat grass juice a day (in addition to lots of fruits and veggies, but I was still on a cooked diet).
Now that I'm 100% raw, does anyone know how successful a raw diet is in killing cervical dysplasia? "They" want me to come in for a follow-up pap; something I should do, but I'm just hoping my lifestyle since last year and definitely since going raw has made a huge difference.
Does anyone have any experience with cervical dysplasia and a raw diet?

I too was diagnosed with cervical dysplasia 5 years ago. I had to undergo biopsys of my cervix every 3 months for follow up (my mother had cervical cancer twice, the second time they removed everything, it spread. Anyways I was like you, on the venture to find natural cures for this... I increased my intake of folic acid, greens, fruits and at the time was taking noni juice, OH also taking a couple tbsp of coconut oil.. there are studies showing its positive aids in precancerous cells, etc.
2 years ago the test results came back clear, clear!!!
So I am going to say that I feel strong eating raw, getting enough folic acid and greens and what you have been doing helps! let us know! wishing you the best! :)

Thanks Belle! Good to know you are all clear now! I'm sorry to hear about your mother though. :( No doubt we will avoid what she had to go through.

omg i'm so glad this topic came up! i had troubles with this too... i was recommended another pap test in one year...... but till then, i hope RAW will cure me :) i believe in it- soo wheat grass is good? oh and i'm getting coconut oil :)
i bet that just having a raw lifestyle and giving your body living foods can help it fight any pre-cancerous cells.. :)

I had cervical dysplasia, but I had a couple cryos and even though they got all the abnormal cells I still tested positive for HPV for another pap or two. Then after 2 years from first diagnosis of HPV, I started testing negative for it.
I don't know about the cervical dysplasia, but HPV itself usually runs its course & disappears within 9 months to 2 years.
I guess this post was superfluous. :o

I was never diagnosed with HPV despite regular testing by my urging (don't believe I ever had it) but its not the only risk factor for cervical dysplasia if I understand it correctly. I think with CD, its either gets better or worse. I'm not sure if HPV gets worse if it doesnt get better..
