Hey everyone,

I"m getting ready to change my lifestyle, but I'm on a budget. But I really want a dehydrator. And the prices are very expensive. But I found at walmart a couple of dehydrator, and wanted to buy one for starters, until I'm able to go get the "real thing" :-D.

Out of the two which one would you choose

or

I really don't know which one to choose.

Thanks

I am surprised how reasonable the price is on those. I have bought Ronco products before and they have always worked well. The enlarged image of the Ronco looks like it holds a lot of food and at that price if more capacity were needed a second one could be purchased. In a few minutes I will be on day 30 of the RAWgust and I have been 100% raw so far and I havn't used any dehydrated foods during this time so I know its possible to be raw and not eat dehydrated foods. However, some of the recipes in Alissa's book that use dehydrated foods look fabulous and would add a delicious dimension to the raw food lifestyle. At that price I will have to consider adding that to my raw food kitchen. I hope someone with one of these dehydrators will comment on how well it works. Thanks for your post.

Edit: I just took another look at the Aroma and it looks interesting also.

I am curious to know which one you ended up buying and if you like it? I can't afford a super duper dehydrator right now, and I know you don't HAVE to have one....but I just WANT one! If one of these would work....I would be interested in knowing! Thanks!

just doublecheck that the dehydrator can be set at a very low temp - at or below 105 degrees, otherwise you will kill the enzymes, which we want to keep alive.
