I have found that I can't seem to help overbuying when I go to the grocery store. At first, I would buy what looked like several days worth of food, and it would be inedible within a few days to a week. So - I pulled out the vacuum packer and the mason jars. WOW! what a difference. I came home from my most recent trip to the store and immediately packed my produce in the mason jars and then used the jar attachment on the packer. Everything is still fresh. So, with my food processor, blender, dehydrator, and my vacuum packer, raw living is even more pleasant.
