I have been eating mostly raw since January. The thing is, I eat lots of nut-rich foods which explains why I haven't lost weight. BUT, my body shape has been changing and I get a lot of people commenting. I really don't mind not losing weight, because I know that I will as soon as I reduce the nuts.
My question is: Does anyone know why body shapes change while eating raw? I know that there are quite a few people on this board who have not lost weight but have noticed a change in body shape. I just wanted to know the physiology behind it.
Thanks!

I believe that raw allows your body to become how it's naturally meant to be in shape & weight. Rather than look at the why of raw, look at SAD & you can see why your body was incorrect before. Raw corrects everything as time goes on. This is why it's not necessary to constantly weigh yourself or judge your success based on pounds lost, but rather how you look & feel. I know it makes us feel better to see that number lower though, which is why many will continue to pay attention to it. Then we feel bad every time we gain, which is counterproductive.

Don't know if that was helpful at all. :)

Actually, it doesn't. Here's what others have to say:

BTW ~ you say "mostly" raw.. There's the issue methinks. Check next week for Rawkin Radio #23. We talk about this then... and a few shows before that actually.

I know that if I were to go 100% raw, I would lose weight. It's really difficult with my job and my boyfriend. I'm in transition right now and figuring out new ways to be raw for work. (I'm an on-call flight attendant. It would be hard enough to know my schedule, but I am literally called at the last minute to fly anywhere in the world).
My post wasn't meant to complain about not losing weight. I really don't care since I don't have that much to lose anyways. I just wanted to know why my body shape is changing since eating raw.

And as for the high fat foods, I really eat a lot of them. Even Alissa says that you should cut back on the nuts to lose weight and eat more if you want to gain.
I haven't heard any of your radio shows or anything but I will definitely tune in.
