I just read Patricia Bragg's ACV book and I thought it was great. I've been drinking it daily (she suggest up to 3 X per day), but my mom just gave me a raw website (www.rawglow.com) and on it Cecilia Benjumea says to minimize ACV because it contains acetic acid which is a toxic chemical.
She also says to minimize a lot of other items that I've found in a lot of the recipes I've been using such as agave nectar, Braggs liquid Aminos, oils, & sea salt. I'm new to this and I'm trying to get a grip on what is good to eat and what is not. There is so much information out there that differs. Every body is different, I feel good when I drink ACV, so maybe I should just go with my gut...any thoughts??

I don't think its for everyone. I was religious about taking it for awhile and noticed some unpleasant side effects...like cloudiness/upset stomach. I thought it was helping me detox but when I spoke with my naturopath (who is high raw) said that according to my body type...its not best. Sorry I don't have more info but if it isn't helping...I would use it. I do like to use it in salad dressings but thats it...straight just doesn't work for me.

I've been drinking it diluted every morning (almost). I find it is the perfect think to wash down my TB of coconut oil. I hope it isn't bad for us! I'm discovering that opinions of health and raw food are like fingers--everyone has at least one, most have 10.

I don't know the right answer to your ultimate question, however I wouldn't drink it undiluted. I would put it in a salad, on recipes, even a little in a drink, etc.
I do however think it's a mistake of methods of seeking out information to read a book about a product that a person/company is selling and believe it to be a wonderfood. The information may or may not be correct, it's the principle. I wouldn't just read something from Monsanto if I wanted to know how much pesticides improve your health, I would look to other unbiased impartial sources.

I'm trying to get a grip on what is good to eat and what is not.I eat really simply, if its not in the produce dept then I don't eat it. All those things you mentioned I don't eat along with anything else that isn't fresh raw garden foods. You may want to include stuff thats not fresh out of the garden, thats up to you.

EZ rider--
Do you dress your greens/vegetables at all? Olive oil, lemon juice, etc.
