Peace to everyone,

I've been 100% raw for about 2 and a half months now, and i've noticed more than anything that my body composition has changed; not exactly a dramatic weight loss. It appears from the naked eye that i've lost a lot of weight, but in all reality i went from about 145 to 139-140. When i went home for spring break from school, everyone was lookin' at me worried that i wasn't eating enough, and i had to try to educate them on exactly what i was doing and how my weight really hasn't dropped as significantly as it would "appear".
I'm curious to know if anyone else here as experienced something similar to this.

But i'm getting off topic; My main purpose for the thread was to ask for any suggestions on how to gain weight the proper way, eating raw foods?? I mean, i don't feel like i'm underweight. I think from eating strictly raw the last 2 months, i basically am at my ideal body weight. But if i want to gain about 5 or 7 more pounds, what would be the best way to do that without me doing any harm to my body.??
Thanks for any feedback

PEACE

I have had the same wonder on my mind. I don't care to lose too much weight because in the beginning it really is unavoidable. But, there is a guy on here named Andy I think. He has in his journal his strategy for consuming mass calories. I think its around 5000. Some say that is how you gain weight-to consume more than you expend. others say different.

I'm thinking that weight lifting would add weight in muscle form and also add to the all around physique.

BUT, anyone else with experience, etc please reply. the info would be MUCH APPRECIATED! :)

I started on raw about 6 weeks ago. I really love the recipes I'm using, but I'm gaining weight that I do not want to gain. I make granola with soaked almonds, raw oats, blueberries and a little agave nectar. I'm eating lots of almond dishes and wondered how everyone can lose weight, and I' not.
Any help would be appreciated. I am exersizing, walking, eliptical several times a week.

Thanks, KMB

KMB, what is the percentage of nuts to fruits and veggies in your daily/weekly diet. If the nut percentage is too high, maybe by lowering it, you could lose weight or stay at a weight that is comfortable for you. Since everyone's metabolism is different, I don't think there is a correct percentage answer that applies to everyone.

Blessings.
