Morning!
Well, it is for me anyway. Isn't that fantastic! After one day of 100% raw, I was up and rarein to go at 6:30 am. i love it. Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone here practises yoga and if they noticed changes in their practice after going raw.
Pls don't change this to the exercise section, as it really isn't classified as exercise.

Hi there. I find I am more flexible and maintain my flexibility more now that I am raw. I have been really inconsistant about doing yoga since going raw and I am always amazed that I am almost just as flexible when I go back. An old yoga teacher I knew ate raw while he prepared for a yoga competition (he ended up as world champion!) b/c he said eating raw helps with flexibility. He wasn't even vegetarian normally. I think it might be b/c raw is anti-inflamitory.

I dont practice yoga on a regular basis, but one of the first things I noticed in my body was my flexibility had increased big time. No doubt if I ever get serious about Yoga (I'm pretty active otherwise) being raw is definitely an asset.

I practice yoga quite regularly, and have also noticed greater flexibiltiy since going RAW last December. Another thing is that since i do my yoga very early in the morning, I have more energy for it RAW. And I just feel stronger and better connected to myself.

I've been practicing yoga for 11 years and teaching yoga for 5 years. I've been raw for one year. I've definitely noticed differences. Raw along with some postural restoration have changed my alignment and allowed muscle to soften so that it can stretch. So if you are asking if yoga can do more for you? Then heck yeah......

wonderful! Thank you! Yoga is my life, and I find that now I have decided to follow my bliss (instructing full time and leaving this corporate office job) everythig that comes into my path shares my beliefe system, philosophy, dreams, positive attitude. RAW is no exception. Alissa includes wonderful anecdotes throughout her book that are totally in line with the Power of NOW and the yogic philosophy.
I'm just SO grateful :)

I actually discovered raw through my yoga teacher training...one of our books for training was Gabriel Cousens 'Consious Eating'... it made so much sense to me that I decided to try it out.
I have dealt with many chronic illnesses over the last few years, but thanks to raw I am able to get back to teaching b/c I am now almost pain-free and have so much more energy. I will be teaching 3 yoga classes beginning next week. so to answer, yes I feel more energy to give to the practice and do feel able to be more present instead of the numbed out feeling I was getting on cooked ;)
