this is pritty cool, in the past (cooked days) while traveling, i'd let go of all diet rules and dive into all the delicous naughty foods that the wonderful cultures around the world make. i would absolutely GORGE on local treats morn, noon and night.

i'm amazed however to find that on this trip, while i have eaten a little cooked this or that every day, i havn't really wanted it. or i'll enjoy it for about 10 spoonfulls...then i ACTUALLY just want a salad and an apple and i feel happy that i tried the local cuisine and truely satisfied even though i hardly ate any. i don't feel deprived or like i'm holding myself back.

i'm actually dreaming about my delicious raw onion bread i make at home...and that delicioius raw choc cake i make.

i love traveling, love local cuisine, but i don't NEED it. i'm enjoying it in samples. and it's my body guiding this!

so cool.
plus, as a result...i have more energy to bounce around and explore!

I hear you loud and clear! :D
I am a flight attendant so eating raw can be tricky on layovers. Sometimes I will have some kind of local cuisine but then I realize it's not as good as I thought it would be. Eating raw while traveling is so much better, not just for the energy, but for the airplane ride as well. It sickens me and saddens me to serve people SAD cookies, ice cream, pizza, etc (not to mention serving cokes or milk with sugar to infants.. ughh!)
