Canadians have U ordered from store here?

I am in MB, Canada and wondered if anyone else in CAnada has ordered from Alissa's store and had to pay custom duties, taxes etc? I still don't get WHY we have to pay this for anything with the free trade deal.:rolleyes:

Anyone else from Manitoba here? I think I may be only one in this province going raw! I think I may be only vegan too! I am from Toronto and lived in Vancouver, did not feel as alone in my eating habits as I do here, especially living in a small farming town. Working on getting out tho, just very pricey to move anywhere that I like :(

I live in a small town in Manitoba. I have to go to Yorkton to purchase some organic stuff. Mostly I order, I found a good place for organic seeds, beans
etc. in Sask., called Mumm's phone #306 747 2935. I also order Alissa book from Calgary phone#254-599l. hope this helps a bit.

I know there are heaps of raw people in Winnipeg - i used to go to the raw restaurant there and loved it! i even heard there was recently a raw chocolate party there - how far are you from winnipeg? i go there fairly often.
did u do a search on the net?

Hi, I am in winnipeg. I am glad to know that there are many raw food people here. Does anyone know if there is a raw food gathering/potluck on a regular basis. I would love to be there. If there is none i am willing to organize one if i get a few responses. :)

MJ -- may be you would want to post this in either the general discussion area --- or I think towards the bottom of the directory -- there is a section for 'raw events' or something like that?? You might get more of a response if you post it in one of those areas.
