Hi! So, I am a huge fan of peanut butter. Well, I found some raw organic peanut butter and I'm dying to make some uncooked 'baked' yummies with it.
Does anyone have a simple recipe with no dehydrator required??

Here are a few recipes for peanut butter treats. One of them does require a dehydrator (you won't get that "baked" taste without one) but who knows they may taste good as is.

BTW, where did you buy raw peanut butter at? What brand is it? I usually have to make it myself.

I added some PB to the fudge recipe and it came out REALLY REALLY GOOD!

Hey queen fluff!
I live in Ottawa, Canada, and I bought the raw PB at a natural health food store there.

I thought that peanutbutter was never raw? I heard that peanuts when raw taste awful. You all are making it sound so good. I reread and see the recipes called for Jungle peanuts and also almond butter.
Peanuts are a legume and must be sprouted before eating. Peanuts are also highly susceptible to mold.
Most peanuts without skins have been blanched which cooks them.
I would think that a peanut still in the shell with the skin on and labeled raw would be the best bet and you could then sprout them and eat.
Most jarred/canned foods are pasteurized or heat sealed for long shelf life.
ETA: David Wolfe sells peanuts on his site, sunfood.com -- including the Wild Jungle peanuts which are raw/organic.

I'm really confused. I bought some peanuts which I believe is raw and my husband and I have been eating them. Are we not suppose to?
I'm so confused now, Why does raw have to be so confusing.

Yes, some of the recipes call for other nuts but you can always sub which is why I posted them.
The Jungle Peanuts are similar to regular peanut but they don't have the toxins in them. You can buy them from David Wolfes site and make the butter out of them. Although, now he finally sells the Jungle Peanut Nut butter too so you can buy it already made if you want.
Normally, no, you can't find raw peanut butter (already made) in the stores. I have bought raw valcenia peanuts before and made the peanut butter myself at home.

So, I have been wondering about "transitioning" and doing this gradually or not 100%. Now, reading Alissa's book a little further (I got to the recipes last time) I see that really, to see the results, you MUST go 100%, 30 days, that'st it. And I feel totally motivated now in reading this. I'm ready to give it a go I believe. But I am nervous about one thing: all of the sprouting and nuts and accidentally eating something that is not "really" raw. If I eat some nuts that aren't raw or sprouted, does this mean then that I'm not committing 100% and that I won't see the results? Maybe this is why I've moved toward the full commitment slowly, because I feel that I don't have quite enough information on what seems like such a complicated thing...just eating nuts, for example.
can anyone help me? Particularly, could some folks who are 100% and who can understand where I'm coming from offer some advice?
