Can someone help me with a simple (I have a freezer, but no dehydrator!) cookie or ball or whatever recipe??

I have some nuts of various kinds, raw honey and agave, no dried fruit, raisins, coconut........ raw carob powder..oat groats (I think thats what they're called)

Can I do it???

Hi Try this

1/2 Agave
1/4 Cocount oil
1/2 cup of Carob
Add as many nuts as you like

Mix it all together and put in the Freezer or Refrig. I did the freezer it was more like a candy bar but it could be the same in the Refrig.

Let me post the link to this recipe for you, I might be off on my numbers.

Do you think there is a chocolate bar recipe out there that doesn't require the freezer?
One that won't melt on long and short trips.

I wish I knew the answer to this. As soon as I take the fudge out of the freezer it starts to melt, not real fast but if comes off on my hands easy.

I make the fudge recipe that was posted here earlier.

1/2 cup chocolate powder
1/2 cup agave
1/4 cup coconut oil (coconut cream concentrate makes it thicker)
walnuts

It's quick and easy. If you don't want to wait for it to set up in the fridge, just use a spoon or a finger and eat it right out of the food processor. :D (Big Chocolate Covered Grin)

I second this!!!!! Believe me when I say I was the BIGGEST sugar addict before raw, I'd eat chocolate chip cookies WEEKLY and buy those vegan chocolate bars from the store. Addict, addict, addict! And then I tried a recipe just like the one below (minus the nuts) and OMG I make it weekly now when I can afford it! I have some in the freezer now (my kitchen is over 80 degrees) because I was craving chocolate.

And I actually adjusted a Coconut Oil Fudge recipe from here since I didn't have as much of some stuff, I added more cocoa than it called for and it tasted like my Mom's fudge. It's so addicted and so healthy!

My recipe was of coconut oil, raw cocoa and agave, I simply cannot stand the taste of carob. But it's a preference thing.

I read this as NOT having dried fruit/raisins/coconut/carob/oats. Did I misread?

I would think that if one put more things it it would be better yet. Maybe raisins, chopped up dried fruit or maybe even partly dry. Several dif kinds of nuts also. It could turn out like a healthy fruity bar. Yum yum yum. Time to dehydrate some pineapple and make this.

I dont think there is any way to make it so one can carry it with them except maybe in a jar to eat with a spoon but that would be great also. What a treat that would be. :D

You know what I used to use to satisfy my sweet tooth? besides cacao recipes, I mean... I would put almonds, drizzle honey and sprinkle with salt. Jinjee's idea. You'd be surprised at how good it is. In fact, I think I'll make some now. I totally overdid it the last 2 days with RFRW's cacao macaroons and I won't be eating chocolate for awhile.

I have some dried cherries that I want to add to my fudge next time.

Also when I am craving something sweet and chocolatey, I will slice a banana and for a dip I will add a spoonful of Cacao Bliss, a spoonful of almond butter and a tiny spoonful of raw honey. Yum. Satisfies that craving in a hurry.

Shanti, how did you do with your chocolate craving? What did you end up fixing?

I made some of that chocolate. I used pine nuts, walnuts, pecans, brazil, tart dried cherries, dried pineapple, raisins, dates and sunflower seeds. I really like it but next time I would soak the dried fruit. I thought the moisture from the chocolate would hydrate the fruit but it didnt. I still like it but some parts r very chewy.

I like the chocolate fudge made with cocoa, honey, vanilla and coconut oil even better than this one but it is so adictive that I cannot make it often. I have a hard time eating just one piece and it cost more to make. Even my family likes these fudge recipes.

I wonder if one would grind up the sunflower seeds so it is more of a flour if it would hold this all together better so one does not have to eat it fast. More experimenting to do.
