Has anyone seen that there will be a new documentary called "Raw for 30 days"? How exciting!
A friend sent me a link from her email from Cafe Gratitude. The link directly to an 8 minute sample of the movie is http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=-1407054601065907544 but you can also go to www.rawfor30days.com.
How exciting is this? Can't wait till I can see the whole movie!

[B]Veganforlife, I don't think that is the same movie, though it looks good too!
This movie was about taking 6 people on a resort(?) place(?) in Arizona and for 30 days they eat nothing but raw living foods, no alcohol, no caffeine. Most have diabetes (maybe all?) and they are monitored every day with lab work. In 30 days they reverse their diabetes--one's foot starts regenerating. One of the six doesn't follow the program and quits, so it is not all rosy.
The website made it sound like the movie isn't quite out yet.

It's not the same. This one is about reversing diabetes naturally. They were taken to a place in Patagonia. Most of them were not happy campers.

There's another called Supercharge Me: 30 Days Raw. Could that be the one you're thinking of?

I listened to an interview with the producer of the film via the raw summit conference.
Marc Perlmutter is the producer. Anyway, they can't release the film yet in order to be able to enter some independent film festivals, like Sundance. Plus, they didn't realize how difficult it was going to be to distribute their films to movie theaters (independent ones) and they are hoping that if they gain some recognition at one of the film festivals, that would help them get screened at independent film theaters.
He did mention that they are offering another 2 Disc CD that has over 4 hours of interviews and information about raw food, and reversing Diabetes as an end of the year holiday release that people can buy for their relatives, or for themselves. It is described a bit below.
It is not the Raw for 30 Days film, but has similar information, just much more in depth, featuring many raw food teachers. The produces are hoping to raise money since the film production costs were beyond what they had expected. Anyway, the special in time for the holiday season DVD set sounds like another interesting and supportive way to teach and inspire folks around Raw Food and healing!
Info From the raw for 30 days website;
The feature film Raw for 30 Days is in postproduction and is expected to be shown at film festivals in Spring 2008, with a release in theaters to follow. A compendium DVD is also being produced about the program to reverse diabetes, consisting of interviews with experts plus raw food preparation demos with top chefs. The compendium DVD is being readied for direct online purchase so that individuals and families can follow the health program at home.
The film was created by Mark Perlmutter, executive produced by him and Keith Lyon, produced by Leda Maliga, and directed by Aiyana Elliot.
All the best,
Soulstar
