My PC crashed over Easter, which is why I haven't been around... A bit of a bummer, but good because I got a flash new PC! :)
Well, I feel rather pleased with myself for finishing my 30 day challenge with 2 notable lapses (both involved restaurants but I stuck to a small vegan dish each time) and a couple of not so notable lapses (maily relvoving around food left over from my kids dinner that I "couldn't waste"!)
Anyway...I'm pleased to have done it and have learnt lots about preparing Raw food. Though I have to say, I don't think I'll be doing the 100% thing full time (shame - I know - I hear all the 100%'ers...Alissa!...don't have to say it.. ;) !)
I'm still doing High Raw and am totally convinced it is the sensible thing - am focusing on getting my kids into more Raw now. Experimenting with varying degrees of success with the dehydrator.
I lost 5 kgs on the 30 day challenge - so that means since starting my "revised eating habits" (in NOV last year when I bought my Samson juicer) I've lost 14kgs in total. Don't really want to loose anymore...
I didn't really notice feeling much different on 100% Raw as opposed to High Raw (say 85 - 90%). Is that because I didn't have any MAJOR health/weight issues and because I'd been doing High Raw for a while?
Anyway, I feel great - still got a way to go, but at least I know where I'm heading.
Will try to share some recipes when I get a bit more typing time...
Nice to be back :)
