What exactly is a green smoothie?

I tried a powdered barley drink mix and couldn't stand it. It tasted a bit like beer (hmmm...I wonder why? lol) and I've never been a beer person.

If I only eat a large green salad per day, is that enough greens or do I have to drink the green drinks too?

Hey there. Think of your favorite raw fruit smoothi and throw a leaf or two of spinach or romaine or collard or any other leafy green in there.

Here's a link to a bunch of recipes:

http://www.rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=23906&highlight=green+smoothie+recipes

and here's another:

www.revvellations.com

for a rawsome Smoothies and Smoozies recipe book...

How much greens you consume is up to you. The more, the better.

Oh to answer your original question? They are life.

THANK YOU! :)

Now I get it!

After your post I went to the links and decided to make the one with an apple, an orange, pineapple chunks, and then I added a handful of baby romaine.
