Posted about it about 2 weeks ago...
But it didnt pass yet and I'm just wondering what can I do to make it a bit better....
It looks as if the skin is getting off the tongue in the middle or something... and it aches-burns like hell I can barely eat or drink anything with flavour :\
Also has huge cracks in the mid of the tongue... But the scary part is the middle where it looks like the skin was taken of ....
Also stopped brushing my teeth with baking soda I think it just made it worse... But I keep oil pulling... It burns a bit in the begining but by the end of the pulling it relaxes as if.. Untill I eat something...
HEEEEELP
Lots of love to all :P You wouldnt like a lick from me right now heehee

How long have you been raw?
It could be you're body/mouth is too acidic, maybe due to immense detox and/or maybe due to eating lots of fruits (which does something with the mineral and ph balance, do a search on internet if you like to know more about that).
Do you eat a lot of fruit?
In that case, you might want to cut it down, and introduce more greens into to your diet (spirulina, green salads, green smoothies, sprouted grains) to balance your ph.
I believe there also are some herbal teas to balance ph.
You can use ph strips to test your saliva.
Good luck!

I recommend a dr...I had a friend with that same symptom and she became very ill. I will not go into the details but if it does continue I would see a dr. I am not trying to scare you because I am sure there are many reasons why this could happen, perhaps acid reflux? perhaps detox? I am not sure but for my friend this was the first symptom of a very big problem. It looked quite white and patchy and peices of her tongue were raw. IS this similiar? I just reread your post...could this be a thrush infection on your tongue, I would try taking a good probiotic. Anyway, please keep a close eye on it. goodluck

What are you eating? Have you tried rinsing with salt water?

hmm... Veganforlife and Judy.. I eat A LOT of fruit :(
They are too yumy.. I could go through a day with only fruits... and hmm.. my whole raw is based on like 80-90 % of fruits ... nuts ..and vegies =)
Been raw for 40+ days now...
I guess I should cut down on that...
I dont have the white stuff around it though pbuttercwup... and i dont know what patchy is so... :\ But it is kinda "raw" in the middle...
I will give it a try to rinse with salt... But I think it will hurt a lot :\
also my hair is not stopping from falling :|
lOl am i messed up with the fruits or what...
will defenetlly try to cut down and see what happens...
still i wonder how can other people eat like 10 babanas a day and not having this :( ?
wish me luck :)
Lots of love to you all
and thank you so much for the answers and the concern !!!!

Hi, I am a trained practitioner of Chinese Medicine and we use the tongue in diagnosis. If you could post a photo that would give more information but based on what you have said....the center of tongue represents the Stomach organ in the body. the peeling can be a sign of severe weakness. the cracks can be a sign of severe heat/(or low ph?)
you should definitely check your ph level
are your gums bleeding?
constipation?
are you fatigued?
headaches? insomnia?
something is definitely off and you do need to be concerned. probiotics may help. aloe vera may help and these are both very safe suggestions.
good luck, cashewy
Well, every one is different, so eating a lot of fruit, doesn't work well for every body.
It didn't for me for example, I experienced my energy wasn't optimal plus my teeth were getting sensitive and my gums slightly receding.
I did some research and found out about the ph out of wack thing. It has to do with mineral imbalance caused by eating lots of fruits.
It's quite a scientific story, if you like to know more about it google it up.
Anyhow, I started to up my greens and drastically cut down on the fruits and I feel a whole lot better. Also, my teeth aren't that sensitive anymore.
When I started the raw food thing 14 months ago I ate lóts of fruit. I loved them. I also noticed my hair started falling out and this could have to do with lack of certain nutrients and protein (which is in greens). I don't believe it's only a 'detox' phase and that it will automatically get better. If your body gives signals like this, something's wrong. There are raw foodists and fruitarians for example who have lost all their teeth. This isn't meant to scare you or anything, but you have to know it's possible. Usually you hear about all the wonders of all fruits etc etc etc, and less about possible downfalls (like protein and mineral deficiencies), and these factors also should be taken in account. You can google it up and see that I'm not making this up.
If I were you, I'd drastically cut down the fruits (and perhaps also the nuts, they seem to be acidic except for almonds), maybe to once a day only or even less. And really úp the greens.
If you're not keen on greens, this may be a little hard to do, however, you've got a serious problem, so you have to take it seriously. Try the ph strips, using them 3x a day for example, or in the morning and evening, to check the ph of your saliva. As long as it's acidic, you need to balance out your ph.
Lots of greens (green leafy vegetables), sprouts (like alfalfa and quinoa), wheat grass (juice), sea weed, herbal teas like green tea.
You may also want to take a natural plant based supplement like spirulina (in tablet or powder form, an easy way to up your green intake and help overcome mineral and protein deficiencies).
I don't know about the oil pulling, maybe you need to stop it for a while (until your tongue is back to normal), because your mouth isn't healthy at the moment and pulling out toxins through the skin of your mouth might make it worse.
Here's a list with alkalizing and acid forming foods:

Mind you that there are also fruits in the alkazing list, but since fruits probably are the problem, you better leave them out.

Thank you all !!! You've helped me so much !
It's getting better (well at least mentaly lol)
I was wondering though...
*How will I make smoothies? Can I use a bit of fruits to give it a better flavour?
Or maybe better to use agave\honey ?
*Will post the picture of my tongue on sunday... got no camera at the moment... it is in england lol...
*How do you make tea?? I was searching for it... But haven't find any post that actually said HOW to :\.. doesn't boiling water ruins it? or should I just blend the greens-flowers-teas with water in the blender and add some warm water? or just put it in warm water and set it aside for hours?
Thanks for all the quick responds
Lots of love to you all
:D

You can always make sun tea if you don't want to boil it. Tea is not raw so most people who drink it do not mind having a cup of tea now and then, in addition to being raw.

Been killing herbs in boiling water for the few past days...

Good luck to you all
