I just started class tonight. I have not been to school in about 15 years. I took a couple of classes here and there but never went for a degree. Anyway has anyone successfully fast and was able to concentrate in school. I can handle fasting at work but this school thing is new to me.
You should have seen me in pre-algebra I had no idea what was going on.

Are you just beginning to Fast or do you have a few days under your belt? Just beginning can be critical but after a few days..........you can climb Mt. RAW..............

I have classes m-w nights. So I was going to start on a thursday and have 4 days under my belt before I go back to class. I have fasted several times before. The longest I have done was 30 or so days. I just wonder if this a good time to try and fast with this new thing on my plate even though I feel I need to fast.

hey i never fasted before but i just started. i have officially completed day one of my water/tea fast. i actually read all day in the park and although i experienced some hunger pains i was able to stay focused. if i started to stray id remind myself that this if for my health and i will be so happy if i could accomplish it. i usually quit things i start. so anyways i am a college senior with a full load (18 credits) ALL history classes. even though its my major it can be hard. i have one class on monday and then on tuesday class from 9am til 3pm and then i work for four hours so i will let you know how i make it. im trying to make it to wed, if i do then friday, and if i make it there i will try another week so two weeks total.
any advice on what to tell my boyfriend?? he is gonna freak out and think im trying to be anorexic. so far i have been by myself so i havent had to face someone eating in front of me. aslo, i heard after two or three days you dont have an appetite anymore. is that true? bc i hope so. im making it out pretty good so far. last question, this might be TMI but im supposed to be starting my period any day now. will it be affected by the fast? i just dont want it like not to come or something. im hoping i wont have bad cramps bc i dont think i will be able to take meds while fasting.
any advice would help really!

Hey Lady Roc
How is it going so far? I just finished a 50 day fast while working full time, going to night classes and raising a 9 year old boy who has a full scheldue himself. I could only do 50 days though. I think whenever I can spend 3 months in a tropical island I will try for 92 days.
I think you will be fine though. How long do you want to go for?
As for Aunt Flow you will be okay. I have heavy periods and I was fine. The fasting should not affect your time of month.
As for hunger disappearing after 3 or 4 days I have heard that happens. It does for my father but for me it never goes away....I think I am a freak or something.:D
What did you tell your boyfriend? Did that issue come up yet?

lol he said i was nuts at first but now he is okay with it. how did you go for 50 days??? i was soooo hungry and tired after a while. i quit on monday. i actually was scared of getting detox symptoms and all. my tongue was so white. im starting again today and am going to see what happens. i take a practice LSAT on sat so i hope it doesnt get in the way with me focusing. although last time i was super focused reading over the weekend. well anyways i will let you know how this goes.
