Mold on berries - safe to wash off?

I just bought a huge tray of strawberries, and noticed a few have a bit of mold on them. I thought I read somewhere that I need to throw out the whole batch, but I'm not sure that's correct.

Is it safe to just toss the moldy ones and wash the rest thoroughly with a good produce wash and water?

I toss the moldy ones and wash and eat the good ones. Have done it for years and am still here to say my two words:
green smoothies! LOL!
