I brought my vitamix to work? LOL I'm really in the mood for a green smoothie.

I'm going to start making a double batch in the morning and bringing half to work with me in a coffee thermos.

Depends where you work and how nice your co-workers are.

I think you have to ask them. :)

How far away is the kitchen/break room from the rest of the office? Maybe you can bring it in early before anyone arrives and do a test to see how far the sound carries.

I would be very annoyed if I was on a call and suddenly a blender goes off.

Where do you work? What do you do?

I'm a teacher, and I bring my blender into my classroom. I shut the door and blend away! Luckily no one hears it.

You should be able to bring yours too. I mean you have to smell others cook/warm up meat in a microwave. . .

Good luck.

Good point about the smell of other's so-called foods. Our microwave is located in our work room where the copier is. And good gawd does that crap stink. I mean folks will do fish and all other nasty, horrid, dead-smelling crap. There's a lot of times I have to leave and go back later. So yes, I agree that you should be able to do it if you put up with smelling that nasty stuff.

My last few companies had policies against microwaving fish, thank god. I worked for companies where at least 80% of the staff were Asian so it was a huge problem.

I broke my brand new thermos full of green smoothie this morning
I purposely bought a stainless steel thermos because I am clumsy and I wanted it to last. I dropped it on the hard wood floor and darn it if I didn't break every piece of plastic on the stupid thing. Why don't they make an all steel thermos for people like me? I am totally ticked.

Stacie, sorry to hear about your thermos. That's a bummer.

I was kidding about the Vitamix at work. Someone would probably steal it. Besides I work in a relatively quiet office. I'll be bringing my smoothies in a thermos. Although, after reading the thread about Victoria B. maybe I should lay off the green smoothies a bit?

Well, I don't need to. So far the scale is moving in the right direction, so I'll keep doing what I'm doing. :D
