Hi everyone!
I wanted to try some I'm soooo excited! I just ordered "The Box" from Matt at Rawvolution.com and can't wait to get it! Has anyone else ordered it and how long did the food last you? I hear so much about his Onion Bread... What did you think of it? If you have ordered "The Box" in the past, would you order it again?
Thanks!
Renee'

There's a few threads on them if you search for Rawvolution. I like a lot of the food. It's especially ideal for transitioning/newbie or if you have a very busy schedule. Also good for variety. Later you may find some of the meals heavy. How long it lasts varies on how much food they give. The first two times they gave a lot & had about 25 meals worth. Then it tapered off to 16-20 meals. Regardless, I've always had to supplement the meals with other food.
Some don't like how it's packaged-in sealed plastic, however it's probably the best way for shipping purposes. There was another company that stopped delivering because of all of the problems with damaged/leaked food. Or they could go in the other direction and become super expensive to ship like Pure Cafe. This way it stays more affordable & very rarely are there problems.

No need for that - she was just asking an innocent question and I feel like this is a place people should feel welcome to ask innocent questions
I didn't find it "out of line" at all
-just sayin'

I don't think it is out of line at all. This is a forum for raw foodist and the encourage thereof, not just Alissa's following.

Hi guys!
Yeah, it gets kinda tricky determining what can and cannot be posted. I don't think it's a problem with posting about "The Box" as I've seen discussions about it before and Alissa never removed them or asked me to remove them so I've assumed it's okay...probably mainly due to the fact that Alissa doesn't offer anything like that AND Matt's "approach" to raw is not obviously different from hers (which is what she really wants the focus of this board to be). Now, if she were selling "Living on Live Food Pre-Packaged Food" then that might end up being a horse of a different color.
Renee, as for "The Box", I have personally never ordered it, but a couple of good friends of mine who are raw have and had nothing but wonderful things to say about the food so I think you'll probably love it based on the reports from them as well as what I've seen here. Please, do let us know what you think once you get it and taste everything.

I will definitely do that! I'm supposed to get it on Tuesday...I ordered it yesterday and I'm in Texas, so we'll see...
As for this comment: Elle, I also do not feel that this question is out of line to post here... It was innocent enough and I've read threads in this forum about some of his food before. I would like to suggest to you that, before you say something is "out of line", you might want to make sure that it is...according to Alissa. She has said before that if something is, she will have it deleted or delete it herself.
Also, as far as it being overpriced...well... I guess that would depend on how much you spend on RAW food in a week's time. I actually do spend that much, so it's not necessarily overpriced to me. But, I guess everyone's entitled to their opinion...

Uhh..given that there's a section on this forum for raw restaurants, I don't see what's wrong with asking a question about ordering food from a raw restaurant
Anywho... I've never ordered The Box but I've eaten at Rawvolution a number of times and the food has always been great. Non-raw friends liked it too. And yes, the onion bread is delicious! And the desserts are AMAZING. I've heard complaints about the packaging too, but it seems like the only way to do it so it arrives fresh. Oh man, I have a job now--I can order The Box!! *bounces with joy* :D
edit: oh, duh, I didn't see Rawkinlocs' post earlier. ok :)

Anyway, about "The Box", it looks cool. Let us know what you think. Sorry I don't have any experience with it that I could share with you. I love the idea of food being delivered to my door as I'm not a huge fan of grocery shopping.

I wont apologize for having Alissa's back. I see regulars that could do this a lot more too.
I'm not a newbie. I've been around a long time. She knows how I feel.

Elle, that is well and fine that you have Alissa's back, but being rude about is not even acceptable by her (I ought to know as I used to be very hard on folks in my moderating and she'd sometimes remove my harsher posts/threads).
I've already spoken with her about posts dealing with products/services and she said as long as it's not something that SHE, herself, sells...in most instances are okay which is why I said what I said above. You didn't need to repost that again because all it's doing is stirring up more bickering and that is NOT what Alissa wants on this forum, which is why it was removed in the first place.
I'm aware of that box too, and been drooling a bit by the thought of it...
Unfortunately, I live in Europe, so... I find it a bit pricey, plus I wouldn't order it every week (if I had lived in L.A.), however, I think it's a wonderful idea to be able to order some delicious raw gourmet, and get it delivered to you, especially if you don't own a dehydrator or feel like 'cooking'. Hey, it would be great if they had something like that where I live... Instead of the usual pizza or Chinese delivery, you could order raw pizza or lasagna, some raw noodlesoup or a lovely raw desert...

She knows how I feel and as a "regular" who has been here, if I find something questionable "to ME", I hit that lil red triangle and post a "heads-up" for the mods to let them decide. I only do that because they can't catch it all themselves AND I've not been asked to moderate (she knows better ;) ) this board.
AND, now, this is off-topic and if "I" were a mod, I'd remove the whole thing, but alas (big dramatic sigh) I'm not. :D

Hi ReneeH
I ALMOST ordered the box for this week because my kitchen is under construction and I won't have much access to it. This week's menu looked really good too but I missed the deadline. Please let us know how you like it.
My only concern is not eating everything before it goes bad.
Please let us know how you like it
