The second I can afford my own home I'm planting a whole orchard of avocado and apple trees.
I won't waste a SECOND before planting.

I wish I liked avocados!!! I can't stand them plain, only chocolatey :)
My goal is for someday to be able to eat one plain, but for now...no thanks!:o :p

I whip them up in my blender with raw cacao powder and agave nectar. It comes out just like chocolate pudding! And if you put it in the fridge and let it set, it gets more like mousse! Delicious!!

I wish I could live without them but I can't right now. I have one a day but would eat more like two if I was not so overweight.

I wasn't using my oven because I unplugged the stove and made a small counter top for it to have a place for my Green Power juicer (it fits on top of the stove nicely) so I converted my oven into storage space for my avocados. Now when I open the oven door I know I'm a uncooked garden foods eater. :)

I absolutely love avocados and buy them frequently, especially since going raw! My all-time favorite foods for a long time now has been guacamole and raw tomatoes (especially the Indiana vine-ripened tomatoes from my Dad's garden!) and dark chocolate, of course!:D
I do not like lemon in my guac; but I do use tomatoes, onion, cilantro and garlic! Very, very simple. I have been doing "down and dirty" guac a lot recently--just combining on a plate instead of in a bowl.
Someone on the site here once said that they lost more weight if they ate at least two avocados a day! I don't know if that's true for me yet, but I heartily support it!;)

LOL!! I wish I could do that--I could use more storage space in my kitchen. Unfortunately, I live with two non-raw people who would probably riot if I did that!:D

I LOVE avocados! I agree that they are one of the world's perfect foods! Their downfall is that their prime eating period lasts only a few days. There is a thin line from where a perfect avocado goes to being ummmm...not so perfect. ;)

I'm with JennaBoBenna...not an avocado person!
I've tried them a few times, just don't like them!

I just made a really good and simple cold soup using avocado. I chopped up half a sweet yellow onion and put it in a bowl. Then I put 3 medium size tomatoes into the blender with NO water. Then while the blender was running I cut an avocado in half the long way. I poured the tomato base into the bowl and scooped the avocado into the bowl. Stir and eat with a big spoon. RAWlicious.
