It's good to be back. I hope I haven't missed anything too exciting.
I went to a music camp in Vegas. It was kind of tough not being able to find organics in walking distance from the dorms, but I still stayed raw. The way I saw it, my choices were conventional raw or conventional vegan cooked. I had to eat a lot simpler there than usual. I was just eating lots of whole fruits, drinking water, and munching on romaine hearts. No fats to speak of, except for when I'd go out for a salad.
After that I went on vacation with the family to the northern woods of Wisconsin, pretty close to the Canadian border. I got to make salads and soups again :). That made me happy. I made Matt Amsden's cream of tomato soup, but something was off about it this time - I couldn't find coconut water, so I had used plain water. I didn't realize it made such a difference. So I decided to thicken it up and make it stronger so I could use it as a salad dressing. Muah! It turned out marvelously. I thickened it up by blending in some sun-dried tomatoes, then I added more garlic and more salt. I love to play with my food. :)
So yeah, that's what I've been up to. Hi.
