Ok ya'll, I ordered alissa's book on thursday. it's going to be a few days before I get it. However, I'm going to my storage unit to get our food proccessor. ( don't ask why its there)
my juicer came but it was sent to my friends house b/c i don't trust our apt office here. so i won't get that until monday.
I'm going to convice my husband that i need a dehydrator. i read that walmart has one at the store for about $50. it is a time adjusted one.

with all that in mind, I'm in a slump about salad dressing. is there a really really simple mix of ingrediants for a first timer, with not a lot of cash, who is still testing the waters, and is still waiting for the book but is anxious to get going.
i'm okay with the smoothie stuff now. i got that. i look forward to them tremendiously, BUT lunch at work at the moment is tough.

think simple, I'm not a cook, and I don't like kitchens, which means i'm unfamiliar with all the spices out there.

help a newbie rawbie out. :)

thanks ladies:D

ya. I tried that. Most threads that come up with the word dressing are just telling someone to put dressing on a salad. not many easy ones

try this as a template for dressings and marinades. mix n match components from below. You can use as few or as many as you like.

acid such as vinegar, tomato or citrus juice such as lemon, lime, orange, grapefruit, blood oranges, tangerine, kumquats, etc
+
oil such as olive and avocado (oil, chopped or pureed) or nut butters such as tahini
+
aromatics such as onions, shallots, garlic, ginger
+
salty such as miso, soy sauce, sea salt
+
herbs and spices such as rosemary, oregano, cumin, cinnamon, clove, mint, etc
+
heat such as red pepper flakes, hot sauce, sliced chiles, black pepper
+
sweet such as berries, mango, agave, honey

This is a really easy salad recipe - just put cold pressed olive oil on the salad and a squeeze of lemon (or lime) and mix the salad up. Add celtic sea salt if you have it - it never fails to taste great every time. ALso, if you have a whisk you can mix vinegar with olive oil and add lemon juice too (plus some garlic if you like it) - it gets thick and delicious - no blender needed.
