Hello Everyone,
I'm new to the forum..I'm 31 year old mother of two..I've always been what i myself would consider heathly ever since i can remember.. I got married three years ago to a very nice man BUT , he's not interested in health at all.. His WHOLE Family is sickly.. This still hasn't help him see that eating the S.A.D diet isn't good for us.. In trying to keep the peace i decided to just give in and cook and eat what he likes but time and time again i would get sick or feel really really tired.. I then decide to go back to eating again what i considered to be a healthy lifestyle.. I got pregnant and seven months after my son was born i was told he (my son) had and still has atopic dermetitis.. I've been given the creams to rub on him but it's hasn't helped just made it worse.. when my son was 1 year i got pregnant again and 9 months later i had my daughter and she seemed fine.. she just turned one year this month and now when i look at her skin she has the dry patches on her arms and under her neck.. i just heard about this raw eating lifestyle a few months ago and ever since i've been reading on it and listening to revvell's radio program to better understand this way of life.. i do admit that I am scared in my heart i want my self and my family to be the healthest we can be ..but this is a lifestyle that will cause myself and my children to be looked at like we are crazy by my family and friends... I would like some advice on what to do.. I'm a african american women and where i'm from this is unheard of to eat this way. where should i begin?.. i would also like to know one of the things my husband complains about it the fact that organic is so expensive.. i would like to know is it still possible to acheive my goals of health eating from the farmers market ( it's not organic) and the regular store? I was told by my son's doctor to keep him away from nuts ,but it seems like alot of the raw recipes call for nuts so what should i do.. Can anyone out there tell me if this lifestyle will help my son's skin problems? I'm soo sorry if this is soo long..
Thanks eveyone
