From what I read in Alissa's book, Braggs is a salty liquid similar to soy. Why use that instead of just using the sea salt for the recipes?

First of all, most of us have discarded the use of Bragg's and taken to Nama Shoyu. To answer your question, I would think because it adds a different flavor.
